Vacancies at the CVS and Volunteer Centre

The Council for the Voluntary Sector and Volunteer Centre for the Falkirk Council area supports, develops and represents the community and voluntary sector in the local area. The area has in excess of 800 organisations and over 28,000 volunteers serving a population of over 150,000 people. As part of our continued growth and development we are seeking to recruit to the following posts:

Volunteering Development Manager
£28,679 plus 6% pension contribution (35 hours per week)

Leading on all aspect of the Volunteering Development Team, which delivers support and development services to volunteer involving organisations and volunteers within the area. You will be an excellent communicator and manager with experience in volunteer management

Community Care and Health Development Officer
£26,333 plus 6% pension contribution (35 hours per week)

Community Planning and Community Health Partnerships provide an exciting opportunity for the involvement of voluntary organisations and service users in planning how community care and health services are delivered locally.

This post provides support to voluntary organisations involved in community care and health issues in order that they can play a more proactive role in service planning and delivery. The successful applicant will also become a key reference point in the local voluntary sector on social care and health.

If you have practical experience of the voluntary sector - including project development, then this is an exceptional opportunity to apply your skills, knowledge, vision and creativity to strengthen the voice of voluntary organisations and service users.

Senior Development Officer
£26,333 plus 6% pension contribution (35 hours per week until 31 March 2011)

CVS Falkirk and District is a partner in the Forth Valley Health Partnership along with CVS Clackmannanshire, CVS Stirling and the Volunteer Centres in Falkirk, Stirling and Clackmannanshire. The partnership has secured resources to deliver an innovative Pathfinder Project under the Supporting Voluntary Action Programme across Forth Valley and is seeking to fill the position of Senior Development Officer to fulfil the requirements of this project.
The successful applicant will be experienced in partnership working and possess excellent training and communication skills. The project will demonstrate the impact of the sector on health, strengthen volunteering and further develop strategic and local links between NHS and the community and voluntary sector. This post will be based in Falkirk and operate across Forth Valley.

The Forth Valley Health Partnership project is part of the Supporting Voluntary Action programme and is funded by the National Lottery through Big Lottery Fund [national lottery and big lottery fund logos here]
